  • What payment cards do you accept?

    Screwfix accept the following payment methods:

    In addition we also accept cash and Screwfix Gift Cards in our stores.

    Please Note: Screwfix no longer accepts cheques as a method of payment.

  • Why do I have to bring my payment card with me when collecting my order from a store?

    This security measure is in place to protect our customers, to ensure that we are giving the order to the right person.

    When collecting an order in store placed online or by phone, the cardholder will be required to collect the order in person and also to take the card used for payment. A free of charge chip and PIN check will then be carried out in store at the point of collection.

  • Can I spend a Screwfix gift card when placing an order online or by telephone?

    Currently you can only redeem gift cards in our stores. We do not accept gift cards as a payment method on our website or via our Contact Centre.

  • I have credit on my account, can I redeem this online?

    Currently it is not possible to redeem Screwfix credit online. You can redeem credit at any of our Screwfix Stores nationwide, or by calling our Contact Centre.

  • Does Screwfix offer a credit account facility?

    Screwfix offer a Trade Account Credit Facility via Trade UK*. Designed for businesses of all sizes. Whether you're a tradesperson, plc, school, government body or charity, we can help to manage your business.

  • My payment will not submit or I am receiving an error message, what do I do?

    There could be a number of reasons for this, firstly, please take a screenshot of the error message you are seeing in case this is needed.

    Please check the details you are entering for payment, for example in your name, please make sure that there are no spaces before or after or unusual characters included. If you still cannot resolve the problem, please contact us.

  • Can I see Ex VAT prices or vice versa online?

    We have a facility at the top of every page where you can switch between inc.VAT and ex.VAT pricing.

  • If I have a VAT exemption, what do I do when placing an order?

    Screwfix is unable to remove VAT at the point of purchase, once your order has been placed, please forward a copy of your invoice and any VAT exemption documentation to our Finance Team at our registered address below:
